Thank You Card

I made this Thank You card for my OH's Auntie. I used a LOTV stamp, cut around it using a Nestie & coloured it in with Promarkers. I ran a Craftwork Cards scallop through my cuttlebug & embossed it using a Crafts Too embossing folder. I wrapped it around a scalloped card blank (also from Craftwork Cards) & layered the stamped image above it using foam pads. I stuck card candy in two corners of the card to match the colours of the flowers in the image. I added stickles to the card candy & some of the flowers. I finished it off with the Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Easter Cards

Here are a couple of Easter cards that I made using some things that I dug out from my stash. If I remember rightly, the chick & Easter egg toppers were off some really cheap cards from Home Bargains that I got last year that I cut up. I simply layered the images onto coloured cards which I thought were springlike colours. I added some silver peel off around the edges to make them pop out a bit more & then added some stickles to add a bit sparkle. They were very quick & easy to make but I think they are quite sweet. They look a lot more bright & colourful in real life, I must remember to take photos when the light is good rather than leaving it until it's getting dark!

Birthday Card

I made this card for my friend Maya's birthday following the sketch on the LOTV challenge blog here
She has three cats so I thought my Thomas Cat stamp would be perfect for her card. I stamped him onto a plain piece of white cardstock & cut it into an oval using my nesties & coloured it in using my promarkers. I covered my card in some spotty paper that I had in my stash, then stuck a pale blue scalloped circle from Craftwork cards around the card. I finished the card off with some sticky lace, flowers (with sticky pearls in the centre) & a sentiment. Sorry about the poor quality picture, I had to take it first thing this morning (at about half 6) as I had to post it on the way to work, so the light wasn't that good. It looked alot more bright & cheerful than it does here!

Mothers Day Card

I thought I'd try & be a bit organised & get some cards made ahead of time instead of leaving things until the last minute like I usually do. Yesterday I made a Mothers Day card for my OH's Mam. Her favourite colour is white hence the card is all white (apart from the gold writing on the sentiment).
I had seen a card made with the Marianne D Flower on here & thought it looked lovely so decided to do one too. I cut the flower & leaves out using white pearlescent paper. I then cut out two squares from the same paper using Nesties. I layered the leaves & flowers up on the smaller square & embossed the larger square in my cuttlebug. Stupidly, I hadn't noticed that the paper was only pearlescent on one side so it turns out the pattern is debossed rather than embossed! I stuck the debossed square flat to the cardstock & then used foam pads to raised the smaller square & flower above it. I used a sticky pearl as the centre of the flower & as the parts of the card that didn't have paper on looked a bit plain I added pearls to this too. I finished it off using a sentiment from Craftwork cards. I would have preferred the sentiment to have been in silver but unfortunately I didn't have any in my stash.

Labels for my Jars

 I bought some jars from B&M Bargains a while ago to put all my baking ingredients such as flour & sugar in. I decided I'd need to label them so I didn't get them all mixed up as I could see a baking disaster happening if I didn't! lol
I have 6 big jars for all the different kinds of flour & 4 smaller ones for sugars. I decided that my Dawn Bibby Cupcake stamp would be perfect for in the kitchen, so I stamped on 10 sticky labels & then wrote out what I was going to put in each jar. I then coloured them all in in different colours on the cupcake case with some sakura pens & added some stickles glitter glue as the icing on the cupcake.
I don't know how well they will survive when I come to wash the jars mind! I can always make some more though.

Happy Anniversary Card

Two posts in two days, I'm on a roll!

It's my Grandparents 61st Wedding Anniversary on Friday & here is the card that I have made for them. Everything I used is from Craftwork cards (mostly the Confetti collection). It's simple to make but I think it's really quite effective.

I'm back!

Hi everyone, sorry for going AWOL! I'm back & have eventually got around to posting the card that I made for my OH for Valentines Day. I took inspiration for this card from here. It was so simple to make, which was perfect for me saying as though it is the first card that I had made in months! The card blank & sentiment are from Craftwork cards, I cut out the layers using one of my nesties set (sorry I can't remember the name of them just now, I will update when I have checked) & the hearts are from a couple of sticker sheets that I got from Accessorize. It is probably a little too girly for a man really but my OH didn't seem to mind.
